Brent & Sam's Gourmet Cookies

Site
The first time I had stumbled upon these cookies, was back in about 2008 in my fave store Winners.

The flavour I had was the key lime flavour...I popped one of the tiny gems into my mouth and I literally stumbled a bit and I had to get my balance, because the taste was simply ricocheting through my body.  The cookie was THAT good!  It was cookiegasmic *MY word*!!

Every visit to Winners, I find myself always looking for the brand.

There are several flavours, and they are ALL cookiegasmic!!!

Delicious guava tarts from Alima's

What a fragrant fruit a guava is.  If you reside in the Caribbean and or are lucky to get it imported to your local supermarket in North America, you know what I'm speaking of!  Today the urge for a pineapple tart hit me like a bolt of lightning, however, when I walked into Alima's,

I was greeted y Guava tarts, so naturally, I did what I had to do and purchased 6, in addition to 6 pineapple tarts.

Biting into one was so soft, and slightly flaky, not so flaky that you're clothing is covered in the pastry, no, no no, the pastry held together, the taste of the guava burst into my mouth and my tastebuds danced with total delight.  Even after eating one, the taste and the fragrant of the freshly made guava filling was till prominent.
Well done Alima's, well done!!

I'm not an American, BUT, I will gladly fly out to Dallas just to be hyptonized by the Hypnotic Donuts such as this little beauty....how SINFUL does this look?  I'm telling you, I see diets just crashing and gym memberships increasing by leaps and bounds!

Sunday in the City of Toronto

After the Eco-Expo at The Westin Harbour Castle, T and I decided to find some food to eat, and since we were soooo excited about what we heard and saw at The Malaysia booth, we felt for Malaysian food, but after calling the chosen restaurant and not getting anyone to speak to, we decided on Korean Grill House located at 214 Queen Street, across from MuchMusic....and boy were we happy we did!

Having never paid to cook our own food in a restaurant over an open pit located in the table itself, we were "Korean Grill Virgins" and we welcomed the opportunity to be, well, non-virgins of the Korean Grill BBQ experience.

Here are a few pics of our grilling....

Put something on me...let's eat!

Chicken, squid, and salmon

Chicken salmon, and squid

Pickled potatoes, spicy beansprouts, spicy/pickled cabbage, tofu , radish, and regular bean sprouts
After the Korean BBQ, we wanted something sweet, so we walked over to Cafe Crepe and had a most awesome nutella filled crepe with hazlenuts, topped with whipped creme....
